True North Song

On the evening of Wednesday August 19th, Zane van Hoek produced a television pilot shoot at his property, inviting the resident of Lake Waseosa to the taping, featuring some great Canadian musicians. The live edit of the show itself was projected on to a screen, set up at the shoreline of the property and the residents of Lake Waseosa anchored offshore to see the performance, like a boat up drive in theatre!  There were 2 speakers at the shoreline, so the boaters could hear the conversations between tunes, but the overall sound level reflected the location.

And the winners are:

Honourable mention to  the Dowlings, who not only decorated their boat, they also decorated their swim platform.

Canada Geese Have Invaded Lake Waseosa

Submitted by Cottagelife on Sat, 07/18/2020 - 15:49

It is a beautiful site to see loons, ducks and geese floating through the water and we pause to watch every time we see this. What we need to understand is what these waterfowl are doing to our lake.

Canada Geese specifically are poisoning our lake and perhaps us as well. There appears to be two families, approximately 25 geese that have taken up residence on Lake Waseosa.

From Kirstin Maxwell at the Town, in answer to President Norton's question:

"At this point all LPAT proceedings have been suspended until June 30 – and I don’t know what the rescheduling backlog will look like, if they intend to bump the cases scheduled after that too. "

So everything is on hold pending resolution of the Covid-19 pandemic.
