PATTERSON, Audrey D. Audrey Doreen Patterson passed away peacefully at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville, on Monday, October 19, 2015, in her 85th year. Born May 22, 1931 in Hamilton, Ontario. Beloved wife of Paul Elliott Patterson, cherished mother of Janice Jackson (Steve Cubitt), Donna DiPardo (Nick), Lori Turner (George) and Doug Patterson (Jennifer). Loving grandmother (Mugga) of Kathryn, Shawn, Jacqueline and Erin, great-grandmother of Jaxon. Dear sister-in-law of Dr. Edmund Patterson (Diane). Predeceased by her parents Cora and Stanley Dawe, sisters Helen, Margaret, and Bette, sister-in-law Ruthanne Bowler, brother-in-law James Bowler, brother-in law Rannie Smith, mother-in-law Dorothy Patterson and father-in-law Edmund Brown Patterson. Audrey attended Westdale Secondary School and Loretto Academy, Hamilton. She raised her four children in Aldershot, Ontario. She was an avid card player, enjoyed her bridge club girls, and loved to travel including many cruises. On many of her trips, Audrey enjoyed snorkelling with her Float n' Flag friends. She kept a diary since age 12 and remained friends with many, from grade school and high school. She loved her many 4 legged companions over the years and loved the outdoors and wildlife at her home on Lake Waseosa. At Audrey's wish, cremation has taken place. Special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Dr. John Rea and all the hospital staff who cared for and comforted her.
