The LWRA has a long history of working with the Canadian Diabetes Association and Camp Huronda to support a sustainable growth while they struggle to meet the demand for this unique facility. We have found this organization to be a responsible corporate partner respecting both the character and ecosystem of the lake.

This property has been the subject of several applications over the past 5 years and has passed through the hands of a series of staff members. The result has been that each successive town planner handling the file has not had the advantage of knowing the history. So that we are all on the same page, let’s have a brief review of that history.

The LWRA recently received a notice from the Town of Huntsville that there will be a public meeting on 13 February at 9 am to consider an application for a lot severance and a rezoning on Jessup (Jingo) Lake. The materials that we have received from the Town are posted on our website. We received this information late yesterday afternoon. Hence the LWRA Board has not yet met to discuss the matter.
