When the OMB ruled in our favour, Pieper's lawyer sent a letter to the Chair of the OMB asking for a review of the ruling. We did not feel that such a review was warranted under the OMBs own rules, but that's another story.
What surprised us was that the District's lawyer, Royston, immediately jumped in and requested Party status. Again, this does not conform to the OMB rules but more to the point, since Royston himself never attended the original hearings and since no transcripts are available of OMB hearings, we knew he in particular would be unfamiliar with the specifics of the case.
