Sybil Pieper is trying again. She has filed a new application to subdivide her property. This latest attempt is similar to the last in that she wants to create 3 new lots, but this time she wants to make the lots smaller! We have examined the application (attached as a PDF file to the bottom of this notice) and can only surmise that, if successful, this application leaves enough retained lands to create even more lots in the future. There will be a public meeting to consider her application on February 17th at 9:00 am in Council Chambers. The Board of Directors is preparing a presentation and the public will have an opportunity to speak to this issue as well, as outlined in the notice, below:

EXPLANATION OF THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT
OF THE PROPOSED Consent and ZONING AMENDMENT
B/58/59/2008/HTE and Z/59/2008/HTE (Pieper)
Applications have been made for consent (B/58/59/2008/HTE) and for rezoning (Z/59/2008/HTE) on lands located on Part of Lot 12, Concession 10, Geographic Township of Chaffey. Each of the proposed lots will have a minimum frontage of 60m on Lake Waseosa, and a minimum lot area of 1.0 hectares. The 3 proposed vacant lots will be developed with a tertiary septic system to be located at the rear of each lot, and disturbance within 30m of the shoreline will be restricted to a path and limited shoreline structures.
The zoning of the 3 vacant lots would change from Shoreline Residential Five (SR5) to Shoreline Residential Two (SR2) with exceptions to require vegetation within 30m of the high water mark to remain undisturbed with the exception of a 2m wide meandering pathway and a maximum of 15m2 of shoreline structural development, and to prohibit the construction of a tile bed outside the lands zoned Conservation (C), and Conservation (C) with an exception to limit the use of these lands to a tertiary septic system and driveway. The zoning of the developed retained lot would change from Shoreline Residential Five (SR5) to Shoreline Residential Two (SR2).
The subject lands are located at 716 E. Waseosa Lake Road, Town of Huntsville.
