Public Boat Launch

Apparently some people believe there is a public boat launch in Camp Huronda and "Cottage Dreams", a cottage rental agency has been telling renters they can use Huronda's boat launch.

There is no public boat launch  on Lake Waseosa. If you show up with your 32' cabin cruiser (yes, someone actually did that) you will have to back it out of Huronda's driveway and figure out how to get turned around on that narrow road without scratching your gel coat. Huronda is a licensed children's camp and legally obligated to refuse access to all but those on legitimate Camp business.

There is a public dock on Lake Waseosa. You may access the lake from there. You can put a boat in the water there, provided you can walk it down the trail from the road to the dock, which pretty much limit's it's usefulness to canoes, kayaks or a small car topper. There are no cleats on the dock and you may not tie up to the dock, it is really intended for swimming and/or fishing.

The Town Dock access is located next to Camp Huronda's driveway, which is the access point for emergency vehicles such as ambulances.  There is no parking lot. Any cars left obstructing Camp Huronda's driveway may be ticketed and/or towed away at the owner's expense.
